Beni Suef University launches a comprehensive development convoy over two days to the village of Qamish

Under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a comprehensive development convoy to the village of Qamish, affiliated to the Beba Center, in cooperation with the Decent Life Foundation, the “You Are Life” initiative, and the Students for Egypt team.
The university president explained that the first day witnessed the launch of the medical convoy with the participation of the university's medical sector faculties, namely the faculties of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Physical Therapy , Pharmacy, and Nursing. About 1,700 cases were examined in the specialties of internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, ear, nose, and throat, ophthalmology, pediatrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, chest, physiotherapy, and dentistry. The Faculty of Pharmacy also participated in distributing free medicines to patients.
The second day included the faculties of Mass Communication , Special Needs Sciences, Education, Social Service, Tourism and Hotels, and Veterinary Medicine, where the team of the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences presented a group of individual and group counseling sessions for cases of people with disabilities and their families, varying between visual, hearing, mental, motor, speech disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and learning difficulties. Some diagnostic and evaluation tests were also conducted for a number of cases, and some of them were referred to the appropriate specializations.
A team from the Faculties of Education and Social Service discussed a number of societal phenomena, including bullying, early marriage, and harassment. A team from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine also went to the veterinary unit and examined 109 livestock cases and provided them with vaccinations and appropriate treatment.
