President of Beni Suef University chairs meeting of Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Council

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, chaired today the 220th meeting of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Council, in the presence of the colleges’ vice deans for community service affairs.
The Council began by stressing the need to include a plan for awareness activities to reduce some of the new phenomena that have emerged in society, most notably combating drugs and reducing negative phenomena, based on the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities. The Council discussed the proposal of the College of Applied Arts regarding the visual identity of the university, and the proposal of the College of Science to hold an annual conference for graduate students. The Council approved holding a conference for the College of Graduate Studies for Advanced Sciences entitled “Radiation Awareness and Biological Radiation Applications” in cooperation with the Atomic Energy Authority.
The Council also approved the proposals of the College of Social Service to hold a number of seminars on the dangers of cybercrimes, the industrial revolution and digital transformation, also the proposal of the College of Languages ??to hold a seminar entitled “Ramadan: Work and Worship” and the proposal of the College of Agriculture to hold a workshop entitled “Treating Agricultural Wastewater”. The Council also approved the establishment of a Psychological and Social Support Unit at the College of Arts.
