President of Beni Suef National University Attends Student Union Inauguration Ceremony

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef National University, attended the Student Union Inauguration Ceremony, organized by the General Administration of Youth Welfare. The event was attended by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Doaa Ahmed, Head of Student Affairs; Dr. Momtaz Hijab, Dean of the Engineering and Basic & Applied Sciences Sector; Dr. Ahmed El-Gendy, Dean of the Health Sciences Sector; Dr. Rasha Adel, Dean of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Sector; Dr. Shaaban Mobarez, Financial Advisor; and Mr. Mohamed Salim, Secretary-General of the University.

The ceremony began with a guard of honor for Dr. Mansour Hassan, in recognition of his efforts in advancing education at the university, which has led to the introduction of several innovative programs. This was followed by the national anthem and artistic performances, including choral singing and religious chanting.

In his speech, Dr. Mansour Hassan congratulated the newly elected Student Union and extended his appreciation to all students who participated in the elections, emphasizing that this process represents the first step toward democratic engagement, conducted in a transparent and competitive environment. He also commended the Youth Welfare Administration for their dedication to supporting students in various competitions and university events.

The university president urged the new Student Union to work diligently, leaving a significant impact on both their fellow students and the university as a whole. He encouraged students to take pride in being part of Beni Suef National University, the only university inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and one of the largest in terms of diverse academic disciplines and student population.

He highlighted the key role of student unions throughout university history, reaffirming that students today receive strong support and encouragement from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He also announced that a monthly meeting will be held with the Student Union to discuss students' suggestions and concerns, with dedicated time in the University Council meetings to address these issues.

At the conclusion of the event, the Student Union shield was presented to the University President, Vice President, and sector deans, along with a special recognition for Dr. Sherif Mamdouh, former Student Activities Coordinator, and the previous Student Union President. The ceremony then proceeded with the official installation of union members at both sectoral and university-wide levels, along with the inauguration of the Supreme Committees.
