Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef National University, a field visit was organized to the Training Center at the El-Kureimat Power Generation Plant. The initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the practical and applied learning of engineering students, in line with the national focus on the electricity and energy sector, under the leadership and vision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The visit was supervised by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Academic Vice President; Dr. Momtaz Hegab, Dean of the Engineering and Basic & Applied Sciences Sector; and Dr. Alaa El-Din Omar, Director of the Engineering Programs.

Dr. Mansour Hassan emphasized the university’s commitment to linking theoretical education with real-world applications by organizing visits to major national projects. He noted that such experiences help sharpen students' skills and prepare them for the labor market. During the visit, students explored various components of the power station, including its gas, steam, and combined cycle systems, as well as the solar thermal power plant at El-Kureimat—gaining in-depth insights into the operations and production processes of one of Egypt’s major power generation facilities.

Dr. Momtaz Hegab highlighted the importance of such visits in enhancing students’ engineering awareness and exposing them to the latest technologies in the energy sector. The visit included a review of the station’s production capabilities and the ongoing development processes it has undergone in recent years, further enriching students' academic and research competencies.
