Beni Suef University Council Approves a Series of Initiatives and Events Across Various Faculties

During its 245th session, the Beni Suef University Council, chaired by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, approved the implementation of several initiatives and events across the university’s faculties. The session was attended by Dr. Tarek Ali, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, alongside faculty deans and council members.

Dr. Hassan emphasized the importance of these initiatives in raising students’ social awareness and equipping them with essential knowledge and skills. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to its social and environmental responsibilities by delivering educational content that contributes to students’ personal development and strengthens their ability to engage with social and health-related issues.

Among the approved activities are the implementation of the presidential initiative "Mawadda" at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, the "Be Prepared" initiative under the broader “Alliance and Development” presidential initiative at the Faculty of Computers and Information, and the celebration of International Nursing Day at the Faculty of Nursing. The Faculty of Physical Education will host a closing ceremony for student activities, and the Department of Information Science will hold an event marking its 40th anniversary.

Additionally, several educational visits are planned: the Faculty of Medicine will visit the Public Health Department in the village of Sherif Basha, and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will tour the Military Veterinary Hospital and the Animal Production Complex in Youssef El-Seddik. The Faculty of Technology and Education will organize practical training field trips.

Furthermore, the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Sciences will host a scientific workshop on occupational health and safety as part of efforts to establish an environmentally friendly green campus. The Faculty of Medicine will hold a training course on infection control in its skills lab. The Faculty of Arts will offer workshops on statistical analysis and scientific writing, while the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will run a three-day medical outreach convoy in Fayoum Governorate. The Faculties of Social Work and Veterinary Medicine will jointly organize a career fair for their graduates.

In a related context, the council approved a documentary filmmaking competition at the Faculty of Media in response to a contest organized by the Ministry of Irrigation. It also approved the creation of a garden at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Sciences in support of green campus initiatives, the establishment of a digital library at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, and the participation of the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in a specialized training program organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
