The Minister of Higher Education issues a decision appointing Dr. Tarek Ali as the new president of Beni Suef University

Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has appointed Dr. Tarek Ali Mohamed Hassan, Vice President of Beni Suef University for Graduate Studies and Research, to manage the university's affairs. This appointment will be effective August 1, pending the completion of procedures for appointing a new university president
This is in accordance with Articles (25-113) of the Universities Regulation Law No. 49 of 1972 and its amendments
It is worth noting that Dr. Tarek Ali graduated from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Beni Suef Branch, Physics Department, with honors degree in 1990. He then obtained a doctorate in laser physics from Stockholm University, Sweden
Dr. Tarek worked in the Laser Group at Chongqing University in Taiwan, ,a head of a research group in the Atomic Physics Research Department at the Riken Research Institute in Japan, a head of the High Energy Laser Group at Texas A&M University in the United States, and then as head of the Attosecond Laser Group at the Ella Elbes Institute in Hungary
Administratively, Dr. Tarek was appointed as a teaching assistant, then an assistant lecturer in the Physics Department at Cairo University, Beni Suef Branch. He then became an assistant professor at Beni Suef University in 2009, then a professor in the Physics Department at Beni Suef University in 2015, then Dean of the University's Laser Research Institute, and finally Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research by presidential decree
He has also made numerous scientific contributions to laser applications and research, which have enriched scientific research in his field of specialization.
