Presidential Decree Appoints Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud as Vice President of Beni-Suef University for Education and Students Affairs

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, congratulated Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud on the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 411 of 2025 appointing him Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs.

Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud earned his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology with distinction from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University – Beni-Suef Branch in 1988. He was appointed as a teaching assistant in the Department of Zoology at Cairo University, Beni-Suef Branch in 1990. He obtained his Master’s degree in Animal Ecology in 1996, followed by a PhD in Sciences, specializing in Animal Ecology, in 2000.

He progressed through academic ranks as Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor at the Faculty of Science, Beni-Suef University, as well as at the American University in Cairo. He has held numerous positions, including Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Industrial Development at the Graduate School of Advanced Sciences, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs at the same school, and supervised more than 20 master’s and doctoral theses in aquatic ecology. Since 2018, he has served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Education and Students Affairs, and later as Dean of the Faculty of Science until now.

Dr. Mahmoud also worked as Academic Advisor for the University Center for Career Development (UCCD) at Beni-Suef University under the direct supervision of the American University in Cairo, with support from USAID, since 2019.

He has been a member of the General Assembly of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, a member of the Union of Arab Biologists, and the German-Egyptian Zoological Society. He has also served as a reviewer for several scientific journals, participated in numerous international conferences, contributed over 40 research papers to scientific journals, and acted as an external examiner for more than 10 master’s theses at the American University in Cairo, Nile University, and Assiut University.
