Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University organizes an awareness event on the International Day of Older Persons

The Media Center The Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University, under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, organized an awareness event on the International Day of Older Persons. This is part of the world's celebration of this day, which falls on October 1st every year, highlighting the rights of the elderly and the importance of providing them with necessary care in appreciation of their contributions. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hanan El-Zablawy Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Sherin El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Aziza Mahmoud, Head of the Community Health Nursing Department.

The event began with the national anthem and recitation of verses from the Quran, followed by welcoming speeches. Then, a series of seminars, lectures, and awareness videos were presented, addressing the rights of the elderly, the health and psychological challenges that elderly people may face, and the role of nursing in supporting this important life stage.

The event emphasized the necessity of enhancing societal awareness towards the elderly and providing all forms of support to them, in appreciation of their efforts throughout their lives.
