A delegation of students from Beni Suef University made an official visit to Ras El Tin Naval Base in Alexandria.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces , in cooperation with the Military Education Department and the university faculties, organized an official visit to Ras El-Tin Naval Base in Alexandria Governorate. This was under the supervision of Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of Military Education Management at the university, and Lieutenant Colonel Taha Salah Matar, Deputy Director of Military Education Management. The student delegation was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Ahmed Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Hanan El-Zablawy, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, in the presence of Major General Mahmoud Abdel-Sattar, Commander of the Alexandria Naval Base, aiming to hone the skills of our students and instill, elevate, and develop a spirit of loyalty and belonging.
The visit comes within the framework of the faculty and university's keenness to enhance students' awareness of the capabilities and potentials of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and to get a close look at the technological and military developments in its various branches. The Egyptian Navy showcased during several seminars the notable progress in the fields of manufacturing and maintenance of military equipment, especially launches and combat frigates, in addition to the readiness of the Navy to engage in modern trainings and maneuvers. The visit also included a tour inside manufacturing hangars, and students boarding the modern combat frigate (SJM Bernees), which is of the Italian Bergamini class, which joined service in 2021. The frigate is considered one of the most important naval units in the armed forces, comprising an advanced combat system including surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missile systems, in addition to its high capabilities in confronting enemy submarines, as well as its ability to carry three of the largest combat military helicopters in the world.
The students expressed their pride and admiration for what they saw of advanced capabilities and honorable history, affirming that this visit had a great impact on their souls, and enhanced their awareness of the extent of sacrifices made by the men of the armed forces to protect the homeland and preserve its security. The students also directed a message of appreciation and gratitude to all who protect the soil of this homeland in all its parts.
