Beni-Suef University Assistant Lecturer **Mostafa Mohamed Sayed** Wins International Award in Micropaleontology from the Global Cushman Foundation

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, announced that Egyptian researcher Mostafa Mohamed Sayed, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science, Beni-Suef University, and currently a scholarship student at the University of Vienna in Austria, has won the William Sliter Research Award for 2025. This is one of the prestigious international awards granted by the Cushman Foundation in recognition of outstanding global research in the field of Micropaleontology.
The University President congratulated the researcher, praising the young scientists who continue to impress the world every day in various fields, affirming that this achievement represents a new scientific milestone added to Beni-Suef University’s record of accomplishments.
He added that this award crowns the efforts of the Egyptian researcher in modern geological studies, which contribute to promoting environmental sustainability concepts and understanding ancient climate changes, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 that supports scientific research and enhances its role in achieving sustainable development.
The award was presented during a scientific ceremony held in Vienna, where Dr. Khaled Abu Shanab, Cultural Counselor and Director of the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Office in Vienna and Eastern Europe, handed the award to the winning researcher, praising the excellence of Egyptian research talents abroad and their ability to compete globally.
For his part, Dr. Mostafa Mohamed Sayed expressed his happiness at receiving the award, emphasizing that this international recognition is the result of Beni-Suef University’s continuous support for its researchers and its encouragement of applied scientific research that contributes to placing Egypt on the global scientific research map.
