Beni Suef University Faculty of Nursing Organizes a Celebration on the Occasion of “Global Handwashing Day”

The Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University organized a celebratory event on the occasion of **“Global Handwashing Day”**, under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hanan El-Zeblawy Hassan, Dean of the Faculty; and Dr. Sherine Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The event was attended by Dr. Iman Mohamed, Head of the Medical-Surgical Nursing Department.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that such health-oriented activities organized by the university play a vital role in raising awareness about the importance of handwashing—not only among students but also within the wider community. Handwashing is a fundamental preventive measure that significantly helps reduce the spread of diseases and infections, making it essential to promote this healthy habit.
He added that these initiatives clearly reflect the university’s strong commitment to community service and environmental development. Through such events, the university aims to promote health education and teach individuals simple and effective ways to protect their own health and that of others.
