Beni Suef “Applied Arts” Organizes an Awareness Seminar on “The Dangers of Violence and Bullying”

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Applied Arts organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Dangers of Violence and Bullying,” in cooperation with the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; Dr. Diaa El-Din Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Fatma Ahmed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ghada Atef, Director of the Unit at the University; and Dr. Gomana Ramadan, Deputy Director of the Unit. The seminar was coordinated by Dr. Reem Osama, Dr. Rimaz Mohsen, and Dr. Engy Atef, coordinators of the Anti-Violence Unit at the Faculty, and attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The University President explained that the seminar mainly focused on the legal aspects, highlighting the laws that explicitly criminalize bullying and the specific penalties associated with such acts. The aim was to inform students of their rights and the available legal recourse.

He added that the seminar concluded with an open discussion with students, providing them with a valuable opportunity to express their views and discuss the presented topics. He emphasized that this interaction reflects the importance of constructive dialogue in raising community awareness about the dangers of violence and bullying.
