Under the patronage of Dr. Tariq Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Social Work Development, in cooperation with the Problem Monitoring Unit, organized an awareness seminar on “Rumors and their impact on intellectual and societal security.” The seminar was supervised by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawjoud Ibrahim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Hindawi Abdel-Lahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty. It was prepared and implemented by Dr. Mohamed Saad Al-Sherbini, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Hanan Ashri, Head of the Department of Working with Groups and Director of the Problem Monitoring Unit. Dr. Fatima Fayez, Head of the Journalism Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, lectured at the seminar, which was attended by a number of faculty members, employees, and students of the Faculty.
Dr. Tariq Ali explained that the seminar organized by the college featured a fruitful and interactive dialogue with students, addressing the topic of rumors and their negative impact on intellectual and social security. This event is part of the college's efforts to raise student awareness about the dangers associated with rumors, with the aim of preparing distinguished graduates in both academic and practical terms. During the seminar, students were given the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive and thorough answers, which contributed to enhancing the participants' understanding and awareness.
