The Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology at Beni Suef University organized an awareness workshop entitled “Web & Mobile GIS and SCADA GIS”, under the patronage of Dr. Tariq Ali, Acting President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawjoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Osama Shalabi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Manal Gamal El-Din, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The workshop was presented by Engineer Mohammed Al-Shayal, a specialist in smart geographic information systems, in the presence of a select group of faculty members, administrators and students.
Dr. Tariq Ali explained that the workshop included intensive theoretical and practical content, which contributed to enhancing students' skills and providing them with inspiring knowledge, especially regarding graduation project ideas. He praised the students' remarkable engagement, which was evident in their eagerness to summarize what they learned and share it with their peers, and commended the significant effort made by Engineer Al-Shayyal during the workshop.
For his part, Dr. Osama Shalabi thanked the university president for his continued support of the college's activities, emphasizing the importance of these workshops in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and the actual needs of the job market in the fields of navigation, space technology, and geographic information systems. He also noted the college's commitment to continuing to organize similar events aimed at developing students' technological skills.
The workshop concluded with the honoring of Engineer Mohammed Al-Shayal, in recognition of his outstanding efforts and effective contribution to the success of the event.
