From the graduation projects of the Faculty of Mass Communication to the final stage of the official competition at the fifth edition of the Egyptian-American Film and Arts Festival. This qualification comes amidst the participation of 2,974 films from 154 countries worldwide, highlighting the level of creativity and excellence possessed by the students of the Faculty of Mass Communication
The University President affirmed that the qualification of the Faculty of Mass Communication students' projects for official competition in an international festival of this magnitude is conclusive proof of their distinction and their ability to compete on the global stage. He explained that these achievements reflect the ongoing efforts made by the Faculty to support student creativity and develop media and film production skills, thus contributing to preparing a distinguished generation of creators capable of leaving their mark on the film industry
As Dr. Tarek Ali explained, the Egyptian-American Film and Arts Festival, headed by artist Safwat Youssef, is one of the most prominent international film events. It brings together filmmakers from Egypt, the United States, and around the world, and features a dedicated section showcasing graduation projects by Egyptian university students, recognizing the creativity of young people in the fields of art and media. Through these events, cultural and artistic ties between countries are strengthened, contributing to the advancement of cinema as a means of creative and human expression
For his part, Dr. Mamdouh Makawy expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of these student projects, noting that the films' qualification for the finals is not merely an academic achievement, but a step towards enhancing the Faculty of Mass Communication's standing in the global film industry.
