Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, announced the success of the Cardiology Department team at Beni-Suef University Hospitals in performing a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) under local anesthesia only for the patient. This achievement comes as part of the continuous development of medical services provided at the University Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Hani Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, and Dr. Emad El-Banna, Executive Director of Beni-Suef University Hospitals. The procedure represents a new medical milestone added to the record of the Faculty of Medicine at Beni-Suef University.
The operation was performed under the supervision of Dr. Yasser Abdel-Hadi, Professor and Head of the Cardiology Department; Dr. Mohamed Medhat, Lecturer of Cardiology; and Dr. Yasser Sadeq, Professor of Cardiology at Helwan University, with the participation of an outstanding team of nurses and technicians.
