Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that the total number of visitors to the University’s Specialized Medical Center had reached 1,422 as of November 22. This comes within the framework of the university’s medical and community services aimed at providing distinguished healthcare to citizens, as part of Beni Suef University’s efforts to strengthen its societal role and offer advanced medical services that meet the needs of citizens in the governorate and neighboring governorates.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that the health sector is a top priority for the university, which continuously works on developing its medical infrastructure and enhancing the efficiency of its therapeutic services. He affirmed the university’s commitment to providing healthcare that meets citizens’ expectations, adding that continuous efforts are made to improve the skills of medical staff and provide the latest equipment to ensure the quality of care offered in the university’s hospitals and specialized centers. He further noted that the Specialized Medical Center is undergoing ongoing development in terms of equipment and departments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services across various specialties, expanding its service capacity, and improving medical and administrative performance.
For his part, Dr. Hany Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, stated that the increased demand for the medical center reflects growing confidence in the services it provides. He added that the Faculty of Medicine works in parallel with the university hospitals to ensure the delivery of high-quality therapeutic and educational services, supporting the medical system with trained personnel and subspecialties, while also focusing on enhancing the skills of students and physicians within an advanced healthcare environment.
Dr. Emad El-Banna, Executive Director of University Hospitals, reported the following visitor breakdown at the Specialized Medical Center:
– 504 visitors to the MRI unit
– 206 to the pathology laboratory
– 165 to the Hepatic Viruses Unit and the Presidential Initiative for the elimination of Hepatitis C-B and fatty liver disease
– 202 visitors under the “100 Million Health” initiative for early detection of breast cancer in Egyptian women
– 41 under the Family Planning and Reproductive Health Services Initiative
– 3 visitors to the IVF unit
– 10 under the Presidential Initiative for the Egyptian Women’s Safety Unit
– 12 to the Urodynamics Unit
– 93 to the Nerve and Muscle Electromyography Unit
– 17 to the Obstetrics 4D Ultrasound Unit
– 20 to the DEXA scan unit
– 37 to the Serology and Vaccinations Unit
– 112 to the Mammogram Imaging Unit.
