Mass Communication Beni Suef University organized a Sports Day as part of the “100 Days of Sports”

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Mass Communication organized a Sports Day as part of the “100 Days of Sports” initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aimed at enhancing physical fitness and promoting sports practices within universities. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Mamdouh Mekawy, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Nesreen Hossam El-Din, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and attended by Dr. Islam Othman, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Omnia Abdelrahman, Director of the Quality Unit; and Dr. Ahmed Atiya, Coordinator of the English Department, with wide participation from students, faculty members, their assistants, and staff.

For his part, Dr. Tarek Ali affirmed that organizing such events reflects the university’s commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of sports on University and encouraging students to adopt healthy lifestyles in line with the state’s vision to build a generation capable of work and creativity. He also praised the organizational quality of the Sports Day and the enthusiasm shown by the students, emphasizing that the university will continue to support all initiatives that advance students both academically and physically.

The day’s activities included a variety of sports such as football, volleyball, table tennis, speedball, chess, and tug-of-war, in addition to individual and team competitions designed to enhance team spirit and develop communication skills and positive competitiveness among students. Organizers stressed their continued support for such activities due to their significant role in improving students’ physical and mental well-being and in fostering a balanced university environment that combines academic excellence with regular sports practice.
