Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command, in cooperation with the Military Education Department and the university’s faculties, organized a field visit to South Sinai Governorate. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Department at the University, and Lieutenant Colonel Taha Salah Matar, Deputy Director of the Military Education Department.
A number of faculty members accompanied the student delegation during the visit as part of efforts to strengthen students’ national belonging and to foster, enhance, and cultivate the spirit of loyalty and patriotism.
The visit included a tour of the Third Field Army Command, the Third Field Army Museum, and the Martyrs’ Cemetery, with the attendance of the Chief of Staff of the Army.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that organizing the visit comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to arrange student visits to Sinai in order to increase awareness and familiarize students with the touristic sites, historical landmarks, and industrial and economic zones in Sinai, given their vital role in the social, cultural, and intellectual development of society and in achieving sustainable development.
The Acting President added that the University administration is committed to preparing a generation of young people capable of assuming responsibility by acquainting them with the history of their ancestors who sacrificed their lives to liberate the land, as well as introducing them to the significant achievements made by the Egyptian state in recent years—achievements that inspire pride and appreciation.
