Beni Suef University Council Praises Performance Efficiency in University Hospitals and Commends the Efforts of Medical and Administrative Staff

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired today the University Council’s 252nd session, attended by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; faculty deans; and council members.
The council opened its session by praising the efficiency of performance in the university hospitals and commended the efforts of the medical and administrative teams in enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. The council affirmed that this notable progress reflects the university’s commitment to delivering comprehensive healthcare in line with modern medical standards, meeting the needs of the local community in Beni Suef Governorate and surrounding areas.
The council also stressed the importance of continuing to support university hospitals through infrastructure development, the provision of advanced medical equipment, and ongoing training programs for medical staff, in line with the university’s dedication to strengthening its community role.
During the session, the council extended congratulations to the newly appointed deans who received presidential decrees: Dr. Sama El-Deq, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Sciences; Dr. Nahla Mohamed Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; and Dr. Essam Abdel-Rahman Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences.
The council also honored Dr. Islam Taha Sayed, former Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Sciences, for his efforts during his tenure; Dr. Ibrahim Abdel-Gaid, former Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, for his contributions during his deanship; administrative staff members who reached the legal retirement age in November; Dr. Eman Kandil, Director of the International Cooperation Unit, for her efforts during the visit of American expert Dr. Douglas Rhine; and the students who achieved first places at the university level in the Ideal Student Competition.
The council approved the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector’s plan to implement nearly 70 activities and events, including a series of seminars, workshops, conferences, field visits, and outreach convoys during the upcoming month of December. The council emphasized the importance of regular seminars and workshops in enhancing engagement between students, faculty members, and external experts, as they provide valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and keeping pace with scientific and technological advancements across various fields. These activities also contribute to developing students’ critical thinking and research skills, broadening their professional horizons, and fostering innovation and teamwork, ultimately enhancing graduates’ readiness for the job market and supporting the creation of a dynamic, knowledge-driven university community.
