Beni Suef University Council Approves a Series of Awareness Events and Workshops Across University Faculties and Institutes

Beni Suef University Council, chaired by Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, approved in its 252nd session the implementation of a series of awareness events, activities, and workshops across several faculties and institutes of the university. The session was attended by Dr. Abu Al-Hasan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, deans of faculties, and council members.

The university president emphasized the importance of these events in enhancing students’ social awareness and providing them with essential knowledge and skills. He highlighted the university’s commitment to serving the community and promoting environmental development through educational content that contributes to shaping students’ personalities and improving their ability to address various social and health issues.

Planned activities include:

* **Faculty of Social Work:** Seminars on effective planning and its impact on success, water and electricity conservation in cooperation with local utilities, women empowerment in collaboration with the National Council for Women, and a seminar on the importance of languages for career preparation in partnership with the Faculty of Al-Alsun.

* **Faculty of Nursing:** First aid seminar and an event for the International Day of Tolerance.

* **Faculty of Al-Alsun:** Seminar on therapeutic nutrition and its impact on modern diseases, obesity, and heart conditions, scheduled for December.

* **Faculty of Politics and Economics:** Seminar on partner selection standards and addressing family issues under the national “Mawadda” project.

* **Faculty of Navigation and Space Technology:** Seminar titled “Say No to Drugs.”

* **Faculty of Arts:** Scientific seminars on “Digital Rhetoric: Reshaping Human Error in the AI Era” and “Quranic Rhetoric: From Expression to Structure – Toward an Integrated Knowledge Approach.” The Department of Information Sciences will hold a seminar celebrating its 40th anniversary.

* **Faculty of Law:** Seminars on “Drugs: A Threat to Individuals and Society” and “Combating Cyber Extortion” in collaboration with the University’s Anti-Violence Against Women Unit.

* **Faculty of Education:** Seminars on psychological support for people with special needs, annual charitable clothing exhibition for underprivileged students, training courses at the Psychological Counseling Center, teacher preparation programs for mathematics and science for Arabic and non-Arabic speakers, workshops for families on environmental education and safe technology use, and parental awareness workshops on positive upbringing. Initiatives such as “Green Future Teacher” and “Toward a Green Faculty” will also be launched.

* **Faculty of Social Work:** Workshops on entrepreneurship and innovation, ideas for small and medium youth projects, and youth capacity-building programs.

* **Faculty of Earth Sciences:** Workshop on sustainable mining systems, two seminars on industrial safety and risk management, modern techniques for extracting minerals and rocks, and a scientific trip for third- and fourth-year students from the Water Department to the Holding Company for Infrastructure Exhibition.

* **Faculty of Applied Arts:** Awareness campaign on climate change and the role of design in reducing emissions.

These events aim to enhance students’ knowledge, practical skills, and social responsibility while fostering community engagement and environmental awareness.
