In the presence of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, a delegation from Beni Suef University visited the 4th edition of the International Defense Industries Exhibition EDEX 2025

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command, in cooperation with the Military Education Department and the university's faculties, organized a visit to the 4th edition of the EDEX 2025 International Defense Industries Exhibition. The visit was supervised by Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the University's Military Education Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Taha Salah Matar, Deputy Director of the Military Education Department. Also in attendance were Dr. Eid Abu Bakr, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, and Dr. Hanan El-Zablawy, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.
The university delegation participated in the opening events of the International Defense Industries Exhibition, which was inaugurated by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, with the participation of 500 companies from the world’s leading companies specializing in the fields of armament, defense and advanced technology, and in the presence of a number of defense ministers of friendly countries participating in the exhibition, which Egypt is hosting at the Egypt International Exhibition Center during the period from 1 to 4 December, under the patronage of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, where the exhibition presents a large number of advanced displays that reflect Egyptian leadership in the field of defense industries.
Dr. Tarek Ali affirmed that EDEX 2025 is one of the most important defense exhibitions in the world, and one of the most prominent specialized international exhibitions. It provides an integrated platform to learn about the latest armament systems and advanced technologies in the fields of air, sea and land defense. He praised the International Defense Industries Exhibition, stressing that organizing this global event at this level reflects the magnitude of the achievements made during the era of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who led a comprehensive renaissance in the fields of military manufacturing and the development of security and defense systems. He emphasized that what EDEX 2025 is witnessing in terms of modern technologies and international partnerships is clear evidence of the position that Egypt has reached and its ability to organize major events befitting its name and its regional and international role.
Dr. Eid Abu Bakr explained that the participation of educational institutions in such major events contributes to strengthening the role of scientific research and linking it to defense industries, through supporting innovation, developing technology and transferring knowledge, in a way that serves the needs of the state and enhances its productive and military capabilities, and reflects the university’s interest in supporting the state’s directions towards promoting innovation and development in the fields of military industries and smart defense systems.
Dr. Hanan El-Zablawi praised the scale of international participation, which reflects the international community’s confidence in Egypt’s strength and regional leadership. The exhibition included international pavilions representing 25 countries, with exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest technological advancements in defense and armament. It also witnessed the participation of official delegations from more than 100 countries, with expectations of receiving approximately 45,000 visitors from specialists and those interested in these fields.
