Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Education organized an awareness seminar entitled "Cyberbullying… Awareness that Protects… and a Nation that Builds," under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Osama Mahmoud Qarni, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Ahmed Fikri Bahnassawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development. The seminar was presented by Dr. Hadeel Hussein Farag, Assistant Professor of Mental Health.
Dr. Tariq Ali explained that this seminar comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to take steps towards a more conscious and secure future for its students, especially in light of the rapid pace of technology and the widening emotional and social gaps among young people. He stressed that the university is working to build student awareness and protect them from digital risks through continuous education and awareness activities, which aim to enhance digital awareness among students, enable them to confront cyberbullying in the right ways, in addition to developing social and digital interaction skills in a safe manner, which contributes to the formation of a conscious generation capable of protecting themselves and their community.
The seminar witnessed active participation from students, who showed great interaction by asking questions and participating in discussions, reflecting their interest in social and psychological issues related to the digital environment, and confirming the university’s success in integrating educational and awareness aspects into its student programs.
