Faculty of Social Services in Beni Suef celebrate "International Volunteer Day" under the slogan "Together We Can" to support economic and social development.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Community Work Department at the Faculty of Social Service Development, in cooperation with the Regional Federation of NGOs and Civil Society Organizations in Beni Suef, organized a celebration on the occasion of International Volunteer Day under the slogan "Together We Can" to support social and economic development. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Ibrahim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Hindawi Abdel-Lahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty. It was prepared and implemented by Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Sherbiny, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Noha Mohamed Helal, Head of the Community Work Department. Speakers included Mr. Taha Abdel-Aziz Abdel-Gawad, President of the Regional Federation of NGOs and Civil Society Organizations in Beni Suef, and Ms. Fayza Shaaban Mohamed Ali, Executive Director of the Regional Federation of NGOs and Civil Society Organizations in Beni Suef Governorate. The event was attended by a number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students.
Dr. Tariq Ali explained that this event comes within the framework of the pioneering role played by the College of Social Service Development in supporting volunteer work and promoting the values ??of social and economic development. He emphasized that providing support and assistance to the most vulnerable groups is a fundamental part of the university's mission to activate its community role, as volunteer work represents an effective means of enhancing opportunities for growth and solidarity among members of society. He stressed the importance of continuing to organize such activities that contribute to raising awareness and strengthening the spirit of community among students, and to building a more inclusive and cooperative society.
For his part, Dr. Hindawi Abdel-Lahi expressed his delight at the success of the event, noting the importance of volunteer work in strengthening social bonds and achieving sustainable development. He emphasized the necessity of instilling a culture of volunteerism in students, adding that such events provide an opportunity to enhance students' personal and professional skills and contribute to developing their ability to face social challenges. He also called on all students to actively participate in such activities, which strengthens their sense of belonging to the community and encourages them to be part of positive change. He stressed the importance of cooperation between the university and civil society to achieve shared goals that serve the interests of human and social development.
