Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Beni Suef University, Organizes an Awareness Seminar Titled “No to Bullying” to Combat Inappropriate Behaviors

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized an awareness seminar for youth entitled “No to Bullying.” The seminar was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Nahla Mohamed Helmy, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Hebatallah Sobhy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Dr. Mahmoud Moawad Tammam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Mabrouk Abdel Azim, Professor and Head of the Department of Islamic Sharia and former Dean of the Faculty of Law at the university.
The University President explained that organizing such awareness seminars is part of the university’s strategy to build a well-rounded student personality, not only academically, but also behaviorally and ethically. He stressed the importance of combating bullying in all its forms to ensure a safe and positive educational environment that respects diversity and rejects violence. He also noted that the university places special emphasis on societal issues that directly affect youth, and that cooperation among different faculties is a cornerstone in achieving sustainable community development goals.
For her part, Dr. Nahla Helmy expressed her appreciation to the university leadership for their continued support of student and awareness activities. She noted that choosing the topic “No to Bullying” reflects its critical importance at this stage. During the seminar, Dr. Mabrouk Abdel Azim addressed the religious, legal, and ethical dimensions of bullying, highlighting its profound negative impact on victims and society as a whole, and emphasizing that Islam calls for kindness and respectful conduct. Dr. Nahla affirmed that the faculty will continue to organize similar events to raise students’ awareness of the importance of ethics and noble university values.
