Social services in Beni Suef organize a workshop to enhance the quality of life for people

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, and within the framework of the university's leading role in supporting community issues
The Faculty of Social Work and Development organized a workshop entitled "Quality of Life for People with Disabilities: Between Reality and Aspirations," which aimed to highlight the rights of this group and the requirements for their full inclusion. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Hindawi Abdallahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, with the executive participation of Dr. Mohamed Ahmed, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, and Dr. Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Vice Dean for Community Service. Dr. Abu Deif Mokhtar from the Faculty of Science, specializing in special needs, lectured at the workshop. A number of department heads, faculty members, and researchers attended
Dr. Tarek Ali affirmed that the university places the issue of people with disabilities at the forefront of its priorities, in line with the Egyptian state's directives to achieve their genuine empowerment and provide an educational and social environment that guarantees their rights. He emphasized the necessity of concerted efforts from academic institutions and civil society to provide support that goes beyond traditional aid to empowerment and active participation in building society
For his part, Dr. Hindawi Abdallahi, Dean of the College, thanked the university administration for its ongoing support of activities addressing community issues. He emphasized that the College of Social Work, through its research and field programs, strives to improve services provided to people with disabilities. He added that the workshop focused on the importance of continuous training for professionals in this field to provide optimal support, ensuring the independence and dignity of this group. He noted that the college dedicates all its academic resources to offering scientific insights that contribute to improving their daily lives in the areas of education, health, and employment
