Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Yasser Seif, Dean of the Institute,

Applications for admission to the Institute of Gerontology Studies are open from January 1, 2026, for one month

The required documents for registration in the Institute's general diplomas for Egyptian students are as follows: A hard copy of the application file containing: 
1- A Bachelor's degree certificate showing the overall grade, which must be at least "Good." 
2- A statement of grades for all years of study. 
3- The original birth certificate or an official extract thereof.
4-The employer's approval for registration (for government, public, or private sector employees), and for the unemployed: a recent copy of the national ID card and a declaration of non-employment.
5- Military service status (for males).
 6-Original (valid) national ID card for verification and a copy.
7- Six passport-size photos (4x6 cm).
Study is based on a credit-hour system.

Postgraduate Programs at the Institute

4 Diplomas
1- General Diploma in Gerontology
This one-year program is divided into two semesters, each semester containing 7 courses totaling 28 credit hours. It covers all subjects related to gerontology and is open to all Bachelor's degree holders. It qualifies graduates to work in the field of gerontology, such as in various nursing homes.
2- General Diploma in Geriatric Nutrition

A diploma in nutritional sciences, lasting one academic year and divided into two semesters, each semester containing eight courses for a total of 32 credit hours. All Bachelor's degree holders are accepted.

3- Diploma in Psychosocial Rehabilitation
A diploma lasting one academic year and divided into two semesters, each semester containing eight courses for a total of 32 credit hours. Bachelor's degree holders in psychology, sociology, social work, or related fields are accepted.

4- Diploma in Occupational Therapy for the Elderly
Specifically for graduates of Physical Therapy. Two academic years, with 8 courses per semester, totaling 64 credit hours.
All diplomas are academic and accredited by the Institute, the University, and the Supreme Council of Universities.
