Beni Suef University Organizes a Seminar on the Role of Scientific Research in the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises Studies organized a scientific seminar entitled “Scientific Research in the Development and Advancement of Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises.” The seminar was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Abdullah Hussein Younes, Dean of the Institute, and was attended by Dr. Nada Shaaban Youssef, Vice Dean of the Institute for Graduate Studies and Research; Dr. Ahmed Hussein Youssef, Vice Dean for Environmental and Community Development Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Farouk Elias, Academic Coordinator of Professional Programs at the Faculty of Commerce; and Dr. Mahmoud Mostafa, Academic Coordinator of the English Language Division at the Faculty of Commerce, amid active participation from researchers and interested attendees.
The University President stated that this seminar comes within the framework of the University’s strategy to link scientific research with the actual needs of society, particularly in the small and medium enterprises sector, which represents the backbone of the national economy. Dr. Tarek Ali noted that the University is keen to provide an academic environment that supports innovation and offers scientific and practical solutions to the challenges facing entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of integrating the roles of the University’s various faculties and institutes to reinforce the Egyptian state’s vision of achieving sustainable development and economic empowerment for youth.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Hussein Younes, Dean of the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises Studies, expressed the Institute’s pride in organizing this event, which sheds light on the academic and research pathways available to students. He explained that the seminar provided a detailed overview of the stages of study at the Institute and the registration requirements for both the Master’s and Doctoral degrees, in addition to explaining the technical aspects necessary for preparing registration proposals and the scientific standards for preparing academic theses. He affirmed that the Institute harnesses all its capabilities to guide researchers toward applied research projects of tangible value that serve the small enterprises sector.
