A faculty member at the Laser Institute, Beni Suef University, wins the European Fellowship "Marie Sklodowska-Curie"

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that Dr. Dina Mohamed Atwa, a lecturer at the Laser Research and Applications Institute at the university, won the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) within the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, with a distinguished scientific evaluation of 97.4%, stressing that this victory represents a new international scientific achievement added to the record of achievements of the university and the institute in global research forums.
The university president pointed out that the achievement of one of the university’s members in this level of international evaluation reflects the excellence of the research competencies within the Laser Research and Applications Institute, and their ability to compete strongly in the finest global research programs, stressing the university’s continued support for distinguished researchers to enhance the position of Beni Suef University in international scientific research rankings and to open up prospects for cooperation with major research institutions in Europe and the world.
Dr. Tariq Ali explained that Dr. Dina Atwa's research project focuses on the applications of advanced laser science in the study and preservation of cultural heritage. This project, conducted in collaboration with the Faculty of Basic Sciences at the University of Pisa in Italy, aims to utilize laser technologies in the analysis of archaeological materials and develop modern scientific methods that contribute to the preservation of human heritage. The university president congratulated the researcher, expressing his pride in this exemplary figure and emphasizing the importance of continuing to provide all necessary support to researchers to link scientific research with practical applications that serve society and humanity.
