The Faculty of Development Social Service at Beni Suef University organized an awareness seminar entitled “Women are active partners in building and shaping the future,” under the patronage of Dr. Tariq Ali, Acting President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawjoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hindawi Abdel-Lahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Mohamed Saad Al-Sherbini, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The seminar was organized by the Problem Monitoring Unit in cooperation with the Psychological, Social and Family Counseling Support Unit, with executive follow-up from Dr. Hanan Ashri Abdel Hafeez, Head of the Group Work Department and Director of the Problem Monitoring Unit, and Dr. Ikram Ahmed Mustafa, Director of the Psychological, Social and Family Counseling Support Unit, and in the presence of Dr. Marwa Sayed Abdel Azim, Director of the Sustainable Development Unit.

The seminar was presented by:

Dr. Narmin Mahmoud Abdel-Azim, Director of the National Council for Women, and Dr. Ghada Tousson, Director of the Equal Opportunities Unit at Beni Suef Technological University and member of the National Council for Women.

The university president explained that the seminar came within the framework of emphasizing the need to support women’s participation in various fields and enhance their status within society, as well as highlighting a number of societal issues that contribute to raising awareness and achieving sustainable development, stressing the importance of continuing to organize such purposeful events that support the university’s mission in serving the community and developing the environment.
