The University President explained that the visit aimed to raise students’ awareness of the importance of conserving water resources and protecting the Nile River from pollution, as well as emphasizing the necessity of consuming clean and safe drinking water to safeguard public health. Representatives of the company also highlighted the state’s efforts to provide potable water through treatment plants, the importance of maintaining household water networks to prevent waste, and the need to promote responsible water use in activities such as agriculture and domestic cleaning.
The Dean of the Faculty noted that the visit provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to the stages of water treatment, enhancing their understanding of the importance of this vital resource in everyday life. It also fostered appreciation for the state’s efforts in ensuring safe water supply, enriched students’ academic and practical knowledge, and reinforced individual responsibility in conserving water and preventing pollution—reflecting the Faculty’s developmental mission to promote a culture of sustainability.
