President of Beni Suef University Attends Specialized Workshop Entitled “Preparing Young Researchers for International Publishing” at the Faculty of Commerce

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, attended a specialized workshop entitled “Preparing Young Researchers for International Publishing,” organized by the University Performance Development Center in cooperation with the Faculty of Commerce. The workshop was held as part of the University’s strategic plan to support scientific research and strengthen its position on the global academic stage. The event was attended by Dr. Amin Lotfy, Former President of the University; Dr. Eid Abu Bakr, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Shaaban Mobarez, Financial Advisor; Dr. Abeer Moawad, Director of the Center; Dr. Hamed Sanousi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Graduate Studies; Dr. Yasser Faleh, Director of the International Publishing Office; and Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University.
In his remarks, Dr. Tarek Ali praised the prominent role and significant contributions of Dr. Amin Lotfy during his tenure as President of the University, noting his tangible efforts in establishing new facilities and introducing specialized faculties that enhanced the University’s academic and research standing. He emphasized that these achievements represent a valuable asset in the University’s journey, as they expanded the scope of education and scientific research and provided greater opportunities for students and researchers to achieve excellence and innovation.
The University President affirmed that international publishing is one of the most important indicators of scientific excellence, highlighting the University’s strong commitment to preparing young researchers and equipping them with the skills needed to engage with prestigious academic journals. He added that such workshops are part of a series of training programs aimed at enhancing researchers’ competencies and increasing their competitiveness at the global level.
For his part, Dr. Amin Lotfy emphasized that supporting young researchers goes beyond training, extending to the provision of advanced research infrastructure and the promotion of international collaboration with universities and research centers, which contributes to improving the quality of published research and increasing citation rates.
Dr. Eid Abu Bakr explained that the workshop included interactive lectures on selecting appropriate academic journals, academic writing standards, and research ethics, in addition to guidance on engaging with international reviewers and overcoming challenges faced during the publication process.
The workshop also showcased successful experiences of researchers from the University who have published in high-impact journals, reflecting the University’s capability to compete across various disciplines.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Tarek Ali presented the University Shield to Dr. Amin Lotfy in recognition of his outstanding contributions during his tenure as President, the impact of which continues to benefit the University to this day.
