President of Beni Suef University Chairs the Faculty of Arts Council

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired today the meeting of the Faculty of Arts Council, where a number of key priority issues were discussed in light of the current phase. The meeting was attended by Dr. Azza El-Gohary, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Rehab Youssef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Houta Hussein, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies; and Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University.
The Council reviewed the Faculty’s plan to rationalize consumption in alignment with the state’s direction toward the optimal use of resources. This includes the implementation of clear policies for reducing energy and water consumption, as well as promoting environmental awareness among students and staff.
The University President affirmed that these measures are in line with the national strategy for achieving sustainable development, stressing the importance of academic institutions fulfilling their role in fostering a culture of resource conservation.
He added that the meeting also addressed preparations for the end-of-term examinations, emphasizing the need to provide a safe and well-organized exam environment and to ensure the application of fairness and transparency standards in student assessment. He highlighted the importance of early preparation and the development of contingency plans to address any emergencies, ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination process.
In a related context, the Council discussed ways to support scientific research within the Faculty, with a focus on encouraging faculty members and researchers to publish internationally in reputable academic journals, contributing to improving the University’s global ranking.
The University President emphasized that international publication reflects the quality of scientific research and enhances the University’s standing among global academic institutions, calling for providing the necessary support to researchers through specialized training and workshops.
