President of Beni Suef University Chairs the Faculty of Mass Communication Council

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired today the meeting of the Faculty of Mass Communication Council, in the presence of Dr. Mamdouh Abdallah Mekkawi, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Sayed, Former Dean and Media Advisor to the University; Dr. Mohamed Zein, Former Dean; Dr. Nesreen Hossam El-Din, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Abdel Rahim Darwish, Vice Dean for Community Service; Dr. Islam Othman, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies; Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University; and members of the Council.

The University President praised the vital role played by the Faculty of Mass Communication in shaping a positive institutional image of the University, noting that the Faculty’s distinguished podcast production serves as a practical model of creativity demonstrated by both students and faculty members in keeping pace with modern developments in the media field.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening the Faculty’s efforts to attract a greater number of international students, thereby supporting the University’s regional and global standing. He further highlighted the need to update academic programs in line with the rapid transformations in the media sector, emphasizing that the continuous development of curricula and practical activities enhances graduates’ competitiveness in the labor market.

He also underscored the importance of expanding international publication of scientific research, as this contributes to reinforcing the University’s position in global rankings and reflects the quality of its academic research output.

For his part, Dr. Mamdouh Mekkawi stated that the meeting included discussions on several topics related to the development of the educational and research processes within the Faculty, in addition to reviewing its most notable recent achievements, particularly in the fields of digital media and community engagement.
