Faculty of Education at Beni Suef University Organizes a Scientific Seminar Entitled “Digital Parenting and Digital Passion Among University Students”

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Education organized a scientific seminar entitled “Digital Parenting and Digital Passion Among University Students.” The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Osama Mahmoud Qorani, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Taha, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Fekry Bahanasawy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Asmaa Zain El-Abedeen, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel Rahim, Emeritus Professor of Mental Health, who presented a comprehensive scientific perspective addressing several key aspects related to digital transformation.
Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the seminar comes ??? the university’s awareness-raising and educational role, and reflects the Faculty of Education’s commitment to promoting digital awareness among students in line with the demands of the rapidly evolving digital age. He added that the seminar covered several important topics, including information literacy, data protection, digital responsibility, and the ethics of technology use, in addition to exploring the concept of digital passion and its role in supporting self-directed learning and the future of work.
The University President emphasized that such events represent a fundamental pillar in shaping the personality of university students by enhancing their digital awareness and strengthening their ability to use technology safely and responsibly, thereby contributing to the development of an advanced knowledge-based society.
For his part, Dr. Osama Mahmoud Qorani, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed the Faculty’s commitment to continuing the organization of seminars and awareness activities aimed at developing students’ skills, fostering innovation, and strengthening their sense of belonging, in order to prepare qualified graduates capable of leading digital transformation while maintaining a balance between modernity and societal values.
