The Egyptian Fencing Federation, headed by Dr. Ahmed Gomaa Mubarak, sent an official letter of thanks to Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, in appreciation of the university's role in sending two faculty members to the Egyptian national team's delegation

For his part, Dr. Tarek Ali congratulated Dr. Ayman Ghoneim, Director of National Teams in the official Egyptian fencing delegation at the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University, and Dr. Ghada Atef, a member of the delegation's medical staff, on the great success achieved by the national fencing team in winning three world medals at a prominent international championship
