Family of the Late Ambassador Tahseen Bashir Donates His Library to the Faculty of Politics and Economics at Beni Suef University

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that the family of the late Ambassador Tahseen Bashir has donated his valuable personal library to the Faculty of Politics and Economics. The collection comprises approximately 200 books covering the fields of political science, economics, management, and law.
The late ambassador is regarded as a prominent diplomatic figure, having held several high-ranking positions, including Egypt’s official spokesperson at the Geneva Peace Conference, former Ambassador of Egypt to Canada, former representative of Egypt to the Arab League, and head of the Arab League mission in London.
The library includes a distinguished collection of rare books and specialized encyclopedias, particularly those related to peace negotiations between Egypt and Israel, as well as important works on occupied Arab territories, in addition to a number of biographies of prominent political figures.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Nour El-Basrati, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his sincere appreciation for this valuable initiative, noting that the library represents a significant academic addition that will support the educational and research process and enrich the knowledge of students and researchers, especially in the fields of political and diplomatic studies.
This donation comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the university and the community, as well as supporting the dissemination of knowledge and the preservation of Egypt’s diplomatic heritage, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of understanding regional and international issues with efficiency and awareness.
