Beni Suef University Council Approves the Organization of a Number of Activities, Conferences, and Seminars Across the University’s Faculties and Institutes

The Beni Suef University Council, chaired by Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, approved during its session No. (257) the organization of a number of scientific, cultural, and awareness-raising events across the university’s various faculties and institutes. This comes within the framework of supporting the educational process and enhancing the university’s societal role. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abou El Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; along with deans of faculties and council members.
The University President explained that these events are part of the university’s commitment to developing students’ skills and raising their awareness of contemporary issues, in addition to supporting scientific research and the exchange of expertise across various disciplines. He affirmed the university’s continued support for organizing such events, given their importance in building students’ personalities and enhancing their academic and practical capabilities, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates capable of serving the community and achieving sustainable development goals.
The approvals included organizing several scientific seminars. The Faculty of Commerce will hold an introductory seminar on training courses and preparing students for the labor market. The Faculty of Medicine will organize an awareness seminar on the risks of drug abuse. The Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants will host a seminar on the circular (green) economy in the field of medicinal plants. The activities will also include a seminar at the Faculty of Politics and Economics on the risks of smoking and its impact on individuals and society, as well as a seminar at the Faculty of Pharmacy on applications of artificial intelligence in scientific research, in addition to a seminar at the Faculty of Special Needs Science on the management of disability affairs.
Within the framework of awareness activities, the Faculty of Sports Sciences will organize blood donation campaigns, another campaign titled “Our Faculty Youth Without Smoking,” as well as a campaign to promote the rational use of electricity and water. The Faculty of Social Work will also organize a celebration of International Women’s Day.
The Council also approved the organization of several scientific conferences, including the student scientific conference at the Faculty of Medicine, a conference on dermatological diseases, and a conference organized by the Pediatrics Department at the same faculty, reflecting the university’s commitment to advancing both the medical and educational systems.
