The Faculty of Arts at Beni Suef University organized, under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, a scientific field trip for students of the Geography Department at the faculty to Matrouh Governorate. This comes within the framework of the university’s commitment to developing students’ field skills and enhancing their research capabilities by providing them with the opportunity for direct learning in different natural environments. The trip was held under the supervision of Dr. Azza El Gohary, and in the presence of Dr. Sayed Ramadan, Dr. Sherif Mamdouh, and members of the department’s academic staff.

The trip included a comprehensive field study of natural and human phenomena on both sides of the travel route, starting from Beni Suef University and extending to Matrouh Governorate. The study focused on agricultural reclamation areas spread along the road, in addition to analyzing tourism investment patterns in the Ras El Hekma area and identifying different urban development patterns.

The visit also included a tour inside one of the laboratories producing oils and agricultural products for which the governorate is well known, allowing students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application. In addition, students studied a number of geomorphological phenomena along the route, reaching the Agiba area, which is considered one of the most prominent natural sites for studying geomorphological formations.
