Faculty of Politics and Economics at Beni Suef University Organizes the First Student Forum for Discussing Scientific Research

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Politics and Economics organized the First Student Forum for Discussing Scientific Research submitted by students from the Faculty’s various departments. The event was held within the framework of supporting scientific research and encouraging students to provide scientific solutions to issues and challenges in the fields of politics, economics, and statistics, in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
The forum was held under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Nour El-Basrati, Dean of the Faculty of Politics and Economics. The research discussion and evaluation committee included Dr. Khaled El-Bandary, Head of the Economics Department; Dr. Osama Mokheimer, Head of the Political Science Department; and Dr. Mohamed Ali, Professor of Statistics and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Dr. Tarek Ali affirmed the university’s commitment to supporting student research activities and developing students’ scientific thinking and analytical skills, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of addressing various challenges and presenting innovative scientific visions that serve society.
The forum witnessed broad participation and distinguished competition among the Faculty’s students. The results announced the winning research projects as follows:
Economics Department:
The first-place research was entitled:
“The Impact of Technological Infrastructure on Economic Growth in Developing Countries: An Econometric Study Using Panel Data”
Prepared by students: Rawan Hammad Ali Ismail, Zeinab Khadr Khalil Hassan, Sami Akram Sami Abdel Hafeez, Samah Osama Abdel Mottaleb El-Sayed, and Norhan Sayed Abdel Rasoul Shehata.
Political Science Department:
The winning research was entitled:
“The Repercussions of the American–Israeli War Against Iran on the Regional Security System in the Arabian Gulf”
Prepared by students Seham Salman Hammam Soliman and Liqaa Abdel Hady Ahmed Abdel Hady.
Statistics Department:
The winning research was entitled:
“The Impact of the American–Israeli–Iranian Conflict on the Economies of Rentier States (Gulf Countries): A Study of Oil Markets and Energy Security”
Prepared by students Sama Adel Ahmed Abu Bakr, Doaa Tarek Omar Mohamed, and Rahma Ahmed Abdel Hafez Abu Adas.
At the conclusion of the forum, the organizers praised the distinguished academic level of the submitted research papers, emphasizing the importance of continuing to organize such events, which contribute to supporting creativity and academic excellence among students.
