In the presence of the governor, the Beni Suef University Council began its session by offering congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired the 258th meeting of the University Council today. The meeting was attended by Major General Abdullah Abdel Aziz Abdel Rahman, Governor of Beni Suef; Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; deans of faculties; and members of the Council.

The University President began the meeting by extending his congratulations to the Council members, faculty, staff, and students on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. He wished everyone continued health and happiness, and prayed that God would bring this blessed occasion back to the nation and the Islamic world with goodness, prosperity, and blessings. He emphasized that these holidays represent an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of love and cooperation among the university community and to renew their commitment to continuing their hard work for the advancement of the university and the service of society.

The council also honored outstanding students from the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence who received Cisco professional scholarships. These students were recognized by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly during a ceremony organized by the Education Development Fund, affiliated with the Prime Minister's office, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to launch both the "One Million International Licenses Initiative" in cooperation with Cisco and the "International Labor Market Observatory." The council also honored Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of Military Education at the university, in appreciation of his distinguished efforts and significant contributions to developing the work system within the Military Education Department, as well as his dedication and commitment to his work during the past period. Additionally, the council honored administrative staff members who reached retirement age in May.

The council expressed its pride in Beni Suef University, with its outstanding students and distinguished faculty members who raise the governorate's profile in various scientific forums. It also congratulated the high-achieving students of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence on their accomplishments, which reflect positively on the university and the entire governorate, emphasizing the need to expand the scope of such initiatives in the governorate. The collaboration with the university encompasses several vital areas, most notably community awareness and the visual image of the governorate, contributing to highlighting its cultural and developmental identity and enhancing its standing among Egyptian governorates.

The council approved the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector's plan to hold a series of seminars and workshops during February, emphasizing the importance of regular seminars and workshops in fostering interaction between students, faculty members, and experts from outside the university. These events provide valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and keeping abreast of scientific and technological advancements across various disciplines. They also contribute to honing students' critical thinking and research skills, broadening their career horizons, and encouraging innovation and teamwork. This, in turn, enhances graduates' readiness for the job market and contributes to building a vibrant and knowledge-based university community.
