Ministers of Higher Education and Social Solidarity Honor Beni-Suef University Acting President in Recognition of the University’s Support for the Ministry’s Initiatives

The “START Summit 2026,” held at the Grand Egyptian Museum, brought together a distinguished gathering of senior officials, including the Ministers of Higher Education and Social Solidarity, as well as presidents of Egyptian universities. Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, participated in the summit’s activities, which focused on empowering young people and preparing them for the labor market.

During the event, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, honored Dr. Tarek Ali by presenting him with the Summit Shield in recognition of his outstanding efforts in advancing the educational system at Beni-Suef University and his continued support for social solidarity initiatives.

This recognition reflects the university’s pioneering role in promoting student activities, developing youth skills, and fostering innovation and creativity, thereby equipping students with the competencies needed to compete effectively in today’s job market.

Dr. Tarek Ali expressed his appreciation for the honor, emphasizing that it serves as a strong motivation to continue supporting national initiatives aimed at investing in and empowering the Egyptian people. He noted that Beni-Suef University remains committed to providing a stimulating educational environment and expanding partnerships with state institutions to enhance training and professional development opportunities, contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of meeting the demands of sustainable and comprehensive development.

The summit also witnessed the announcement of the launch of the “START” platform, a year-round training and capacity-building initiative designed to equip young people with the skills required for employment. The platform will place particular focus on beneficiaries of the Takaful and Karama social protection program and persons with disabilities. In addition, the summit highlighted plans to expand the services provided by Social Solidarity Units across Egyptian universities, creating broader educational and career opportunities for students.
