The Faculty of Agriculture at Beni Suef University launches its summer field training activities for its students at the "Seds" research station.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, and in line with the university's commitment to linking academic education with practical and field application to prepare a distinguished generation of agricultural engineers capable of competing strongly in the job market and applying the highest standards of quality and excellence, the Department of Animal and Poultry Production at the Faculty of Agriculture organized an intensive summer training program for students of the Animal and Poultry Production program at the Animal Production Research Station in Seds, affiliated with the Agricultural Research Center, from August 3 to 12, 2026.
Under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Abdel Latif Hesham, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Wael Abdel Magid, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Nagi Hamed, Head of the Department of Animal and Poultry Production, and Dr. Khamis Rifai, Coordinator of the Animal and Poultry Production Program, and with continuous follow-up from the faculty members and the assistant staff of the department.
Dr. Tarek Ali explained that this training is in line with Egypt’s 2030 vision for developing the higher education and scientific research system, and raising the skills of young people and linking them to modern applications in the agriculture and food security sector. He pointed out that the university pays great attention to the field application of students and does not just focus on the academic aspect and theoretical education, with the aim of refining their practical experiences and providing them with direct technical skills that qualify them to deal efficiently with the latest methods and strategies of animal and poultry production.
The university president added that the partnership with research centers and mechanisms, such as the Animal Production Research Station in Seds, affiliated with the Agricultural Research Center, is a pivotal step to open up broad scientific and practical horizons for students to learn about modern farm management methods, breed improvement mechanisms, and the care and feeding of livestock and poultry, which ensures the graduation of promising agricultural cadres capable of meeting the needs of the local and regional labor market and contributing effectively to achieving sustainable agricultural development.
Dr. Abdel Latif Hesham, Dean of the Faculty, also noted that the training program includes an intensive series of lectures and comprehensive practical exercises delivered and conducted by a select group of specialized researchers. He commended the fruitful and successful collaboration between the Faculty and the Animal Production Research Station in Seds, led by Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Nassar, and all those involved in this outstanding training program.
