Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University—and as part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and foster intellectual awareness among the youth—the university explored avenues for collaboration and coordination with Sheikh Reda Mohamed Abdel Halim, Director-General of the Beni Suef Preaching District and Head of the Fatwa and Reconciliation Committee at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. The discussions focused on launching the university’s 24th "Da'wah" (Islamic outreach) week, organized by the Al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy under the theme "Be a Believer."
The meeting was attended by Dr. Shaaban Mobarez, Financial Advisor to the University President, and Dr. Ragab Abdel-Zaher, Legal Advisor to the University President. It was held under the joint supervision and coordination of the leadership of Beni Suef University and the General Secretariat of the Islamic Research Academy at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, with the aim of establishing executive mechanisms for an awareness and educational program directed at university students.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that these activities are part of Beni Suef University’s strategy to support Egypt’s Vision 2030—an initiative focused on human development and the creation of a "new republic" rooted in awareness and culture. He explained that the program includes five seminars designed to promote faith-based and ethical values, reinforce a sense of loyalty and belonging to the nation, and build intellectual and psychological resilience among university students to help them counter deviant ideologies and contemporary misconceptions.
The University President commended the enlightening and pioneering role played by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Islamic Research Academy, and the Preaching Department in promoting a moderate and enlightened school of thought. He further emphasized Beni Suef University’s steadfast commitment to collaborating with all national institutions to foster awareness among the youth and prepare a generation capable of confronting contemporary challenges and contributing effectively to the nation’s development.
For his part, Sheikh Reda Muhammad Abdel Halim expressed his appreciation for Beni Suef University and its pioneering academic and societal role, praising the constructive cooperation that reflects the institutional integration between Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the university in order to create awareness and protect the minds of young people.
