It was led by Dr. Ismail Selim, Deputy Director of the University Career Development Center and the initiative’s lead for learning, guidance, and professional development. The event was attended by several faculty members and saw broad participation and active engagement from students across various departments and academic years.
The University President emphasized that launching such training initiatives aligns with the university’s strategy to bridge the gap between academic education and the actual needs of the labor market. He noted that the initiative aims to empower young people by equipping them with the practical and professional skills required to navigate the rapidly changing work environment. It also seeks to foster a culture of continuous learning and sustainable development, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to compete effectively and capably.
Dr. Tarek Ali added that the session highlighted the core components of the "Be Prepared" initiative and the various development pathways it offers. This included in-depth discussions on how students can transition confidently from their academic studies to their professional careers, as well as an exploration of the essential skills needed to build a successful professional future. For his part, Dr. Mohamed Nour Al-Basrati, Dean of the Faculty, explained that through these activities, the Faculty aims to foster the holistic development of students and encourage their continuous self-improvement. He also highlighted the fruitful collaboration with the University Career Development Center in delivering high-quality programs that contribute to enhancing the caliber of graduates and improving the outcomes of the educational process.
At the conclusion of the opening events, a registration code was provided to participating students, granting them access to an intensive three-day training program designed for five cohorts of students from the Faculty as part of their professional qualification pathway.
