In its 263rd session, the Beni Suef University Council—chaired by Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University—approved the implementation of a series of seminars, events, and community-oriented and scientific activities across the faculties and institutes. This initiative aims to support student and academic activities, while strengthening the role of the university in serving the community and fostering environmental development. The session was attended by Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, along with the deans of the faculties and other council members

Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the proposals submitted by the Faculty of Medicine included organizing a workshop on reconstructive surgery for the urinary tract, as well as hosting a scientific symposium on pediatric gastroenterology. The proposals from the Faculty of Politics and Economics included organizing seminars on the "Be Prepared" initiative, first aid, the role of the Ministry of Planning in development, the importance of the constitution in state-building and upholding the rule of law, the role of religious institutions in fostering social awareness and countering extremism, and the topics of local governance and local administration

Regarding institutional cooperation and training, the proposals included exploring a partnership between the Faculty of Science and "Creativa"—the Digital Egypt platform—as well as a draft cooperation protocol between the Graduate School of Advanced Sciences and the company BIOSOURCE EDGE. The Council also reviewed a proposal from the Faculty of Agriculture to collaborate with "New Hope," a feed manufacturing company. This initiative encompasses providing training and employment opportunities for students, as well as conducting graduation projects and academic theses in fields such as bio-agriculture, biological pest control, and animal and poultry nutrition and feed production

As part of efforts to support practical activities and field visits, the proposals included hosting representatives from the Higher Technological Institute in Beni Suef at the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute to explore opportunities for collaboration. Other initiatives involve organizing visits to facilities specializing in the extraction, analysis, and manufacturing of medicinal and aromatic oils, as well as arranging a field trip for students of the Plant Production program at the Faculty of Agriculture to attend the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Festival

The proposals from the Faculty of Education also included organizing a forum on education and sustainable partnership, in collaboration with the Egyptian Association for Comparative Education and Educational Administration; hosting an "Environment and Green Innovation Week" under the theme "From Awareness to Impact: A Green University for a Sustainable Society"; holding an annual charity clothing drive; and implementing the "A Step Toward Excellence" initiative to provide educational support to students under social welfare care

Regarding awareness and health-related activities, the Council discussed proposals from the Faculty of Physical Therapy to organize workshops on infection control and breast cancer awareness during "Pink October." Additionally, the proposals include arranging field visits to nursing homes to raise awareness about the importance of physical therapy in preventing disease-related complications—specifically those affecting the peripheral nerves in diabetic patients—as well as the prevention of diabetic foot complications
