Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that Hassan Mohamed, a student at the Faculty of Agriculture, won second place in the Lavender Life Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, held among Egyptian universities, with approximately 100 contestants from universities across the country. The student received a cash prize of EGP 30,000. The achievement was made under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Latif Hisham Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty.

Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the student's achievement came after his project qualified among the top six projects reaching the competition's final stage. The final round was held at East Port Said National University in North Sinai. The project, entitled Lavender Life AI Export Ecosystem, aims to harness modern technology to advance the lavender sector by integrating artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital traceability, quality management, and export applications.

The project relies on developing and implementing a specialized artificial intelligence model to analyze field data and production batches, thereby supporting quality-related and export decision-making. It also offers an integrated system connecting all stages of production, from the field to the delivery of the product to the importer, with a focus on data accuracy, product quality, and traceability, ultimately strengthening consumer and importer confidence.

This achievement represents an outstanding example of students' success in harnessing modern technology to serve the agricultural sector and transforming innovative ideas into practical projects that can be further developed and implemented. It also highlights the importance of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship and encouraging students to develop solutions that meet future demands.

Dr. Abdel Latif Hisham added that the project's significance lies in its contribution to supporting digital transformation in the agricultural sector, developing production monitoring mechanisms, ensuring quality and export standards, and opening new career opportunities in agricultural technology and artificial intelligence applications.

The project is scheduled to be implemented at Lavender Life Company in the coming period, allowing its outcomes to be tested in practice and further developed in accordance with actual business needs.
