Beni-Suef University President Attends the PhD Qualifying Examination at the Faculty of Sports Sciences in the Presence of Prominent Academic and Sports Leaders

Today, Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, attended the PhD qualifying examination for students at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ragai, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Kamal Darwish, former Chairman of Zamalek Sporting Club; Dr. Rasha Tawfik, Vice President of Beni-Suef National University; Dr. Ahmed Azab, former President of Sadat City University; Dr. Mohamed El-Hamhamy; and Dr. Kawthar El-Mogy, professors at Capital University; Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University; as well as the Faculty’s vice deans, department heads, and a number of faculty members.

The University President affirmed that the postgraduate studies system represents one of the fundamental pillars for supporting scientific research and preparing academic and research professionals capable of contributing to sustainable development and keeping pace with rapidly evolving scientific changes. He praised the efforts made by the Faculty of Sports Sciences to advance its postgraduate programs and provide a stimulating academic environment that helps develop students’ research capabilities and prepare them in accordance with the latest scientific and academic standards.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ragai, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, explained that the PhD qualifying examination is part of the Faculty’s commitment to ensuring the quality of research outputs and assessing researchers’ scientific and cognitive abilities before they proceed to the thesis preparation stage. He noted that the Faculty continuously seeks to develop its academic and research programs in line with labor market requirements and the latest trends in the fields of sports sciences.

The event also witnessed fruitful interaction among the attending academic leaders and specialized experts, who praised the examination’s scientific and organizational standards. They emphasized the importance of supporting young researchers and empowering them to conduct scientific studies that contribute to developing the sports and academic systems and serving the community.

The University President and the guests also toured the Olympic Swimming Pools Complex, where he praised the outstanding standard of management at the complex. The tour was attended by Dr. Nermin Atef, Director of Kheirat El-Nil Scientific Consulting Company.
