Beni-Suef University Hosts Major General Walid El-Sisi, Former Assistant Minister of Interior, for an Awareness Seminar Entitled “Youth and the Battle for Awareness”

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, the Faculty of Developmental Social Work organized an awareness seminar entitled “Youth and the Battle for Awareness,” under the supervision of Dr. Hindawy Abdel-Lahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty. The seminar featured Major General Walid El-Sisi, former Assistant Minister of Interior, as its speaker.

The seminar addressed a number of important issues related to youth awareness, foremost among them the impact of social media on young people and society, its role in the circulation of information and rumors, and the importance of verifying news and information before publishing or sharing it. These efforts contribute to curbing the spread of rumors and promoting public awareness.

The seminar also discussed the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on individuals, families, and society, as well as ways to raise young people's awareness of these dangers and the importance of strengthening their awareness to protect them from falling into addiction.

The seminar comes as part of the University's commitment to organizing awareness-raising events that help students develop a better understanding of societal issues and strengthen their ability to deal consciously with the challenges and information circulating in their surroundings.
