Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, said today, that Beni Suef University hospitals witnessed a boom in the increase in the number of patients attending the university hospital and conducting a large number of surgeries, cardiac catheterization and endoscopy, as 325,000 cases were received during the current year 2021 in the reception and emergency departments, While more than 15,000 cases were booked in the hospital's internal departments, in various medical specialties.
Mansour explained that the clinics received more than 17,000 cases and 4,608 cases were booked in the internal departments, after starting work in the outpatient clinics last April, after stopping due to the Corona pandemic, and more than 11 thousand surgeries were performed during this year in various specialties surgery. General, plastic surgery, male surgery, urology, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology surgery, ear and nose surgery, neurosurgery, gynecology and obstetrics operations.
The President of Beni Suef University indicated that 1886 cardiac catheters were performed, including 380 cases of heart clots, and 1149 cases of endoscopy at the endoscopy unit, and the clot-dissolving unit for patients suffering from brain clots in the neurological unit RTBA, as well as 60 patients were injected with the drug.
